About

Janice Prichett is a landscape and nature photographer based in upstate New York. She began taking pictures first with an Olympus 35 mm camera in 1978 and later transitioned to digital cameras. As she climbed the 46 Adirondack high peaks she developed her love of landscape photography.  In 2021, 2022, and 2025 her winning photographs were published in Adirondack Life Magazine.  Her first photography show was at Uncommon Grounds in Saratoga Springs in March and April of 2022.  Her most recent exhibit, A Gentle Invitation, will be at the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts in Blue Mountain Lake in September 2026.

Janice’s work has appeared in north country publications including the Adirondack Review, Adirondack Explorer, and Glens Falls Chronicle.  In 2022 Janice created a photography meetup online group called Photography Connection and began leading photography outings for fellow photographers.  She believes in photographers supporting one another’s work and the importance of connection. She has expanded her landscape work through trips to throughout the Unites States, Iceland, Scotland, India, Newfoundland, and New Zealand.
